What we do

OUR VISION:
To inspire Hampton Roads to become a community that takes a collaborative, survivor-first approach in meeting the complex needs of those who have experienced human trafficking and exploitation.

OUR MISSION:
Virginia Beach Justice Initiative exists to prevent human trafficking in our community and support those it impacts on their journey to freedom.

OUR STORY:
Virginia Beach Justice Initiative was established in 2012 with a focus on providing legislative advocacy and raising awareness of human trafficking as a local issue. Over the next several years, the organization developed programming focused on identification of victims of human trafficking and providing support on their journey to recovery and restoration. Today, the organization works tirelessly with more than 120 survivors who have been exploited in the greater Hampton Roads region.

We believe that everyone can do #onething to end human trafficking. Join us on our mission to #restorehope.
